Back in Boston

Yes, I am back in Boston. It is a beautiful day. I had a cup of coffee by the water. I am eating a cup of chowder in my hotel room as I type this. As you can tell I am having a wild and crazy time here in Boston and wish I didn't have to go to work in an hour. Gotta go, as I need to floss.

Its been a while.

My buddy David made comment that it has been a while since I posted any really cool news on my blog and that my wife was out blogging me. Well, I can't let that happen. My wife may be a better writer and speller than me, but she is just hanging out in London. As for myself I am busting my behind here in Portland trying to keep up with the lawn and getting the garbage cans out to the curb on the correct day. All she does is try to keep people alive....like that's hard.

For those of you who don't know, I think I have bought a boat. A sailboat. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I mean it has been almost two years since I almost lost an arm while sailing, but it was a learning experience and I probably won't make that mistake again. It's not like there aren't plenty of other mistakes for me to make. David tells me we are leaving for Alaska in May of 2012. I hope I have the marine toilet figured out by then! If some one could tell me how to tell port from starboard I would be appreciative.

I just figured out that this thing has spell check. How cool is that!!!!!

I will be back in Boston soon and will do another exciting blogs from there.

For all of you wondering how Saylor the cat is doing he is still alive and back to pooping in the lawn. I have not found any poop in the fireplace since the snow melted. Did I mention he lost a tooth? Now that is a good story!!!

All of you take care. Vicki, you take extra care.

After a hard day of protesting and dog turd tossing I found myself in a pub. OK, I have to be honest with you blog followers. I tossed the dog turds in the trash next to a bank and watched the protest on TV in a pub in Greenwich. But I felt like I was in the middle of the action.

Speaking of being in the middle of the action I was watching the World Cup qualifier last night at The Hope pub. These people like there football (that is soccer for you yanks). Thank goodness England won or there could have been a riot making the G-20 protest look like a prayer meeting. These Brits use all of the good words when talking to the ref or other players on the TV. You know like “Ref, are you f###### blind!!” or when the opposing team has a player down rolling in pain you might hear “Get up and play ball you f###### puss!!!”

Did I mention that when England scored a goal beer gets spilled. Yes it does. You would think a guy would set his beer down before throwing his arms into the air and and dancing around like a little school girl, but no. You might also think there would be no beer spilled when the opposing team scores, but oh no. There is beer spilled and people shouting “ You gotta be f###### s####### me!!!” I think the Brits invented the “F” word. I had a f###### smashing time.

I just returned from having to vacate the building due to the fire alarm going off. Some f###### moron must have burned their f###### toast. I had best go, venture out and see if I can learn some more cool British words. Later!

I just realized that I have been over here in London for almost a week and have not been blogging for my blog followers. Here is a little up date. It has been a little boring since I have been here. Just some of the same old stuff, meeting Donna for a beer after work, sleeping, taking a shower, walking Donna to work, etc.

Oh, yeah, I have gone to the store and bought some crackers and milk. I almost forgot that we have attended two plays, Thriller and Enjoy. Both were very good. Donna paid for the tickets which made them even better, but I did buy the ice cream at intermission. Did I mention that we went to a couple of markets? Yes we did. We went to Spittlefields and Petticoat Lane markets. Guess who got a new pair of shoes at the market? That’s right, Donna!

We arrived back at Donna’s place of lodging late last night after having pint of Londons Pride at The Hope public house. I almost forgot we stopped there after returning to London form Cardiff, Wales where we had spent a couple of days. What a great town. So quiet and lovely, but we were able to find something to do. Senic bus and water taxi rides and lovely walks throught the town. Oh, And what did we find.....Brains Brewery. We stopped and checked in at the gate house with John. What a lovely gent. He informed us that “Yes they used to give tours, but no more. And yes they used to have a tasting room, but no more. By the way we used to sell souviners, but no more.” Then he stepped into the back room and brought out a wonderful Brains Beer serving tray which he slipped into a bag and gave to us and then directed us to the Cottage Pub and suggested that we try a pint or two of S.A. Brains Ale. John said the locals say the S.A. stands for Skull Attack. After a few pints he said the next morning it feels like your skull has been bashed.

I had a half pint and a cup of coffee while Donna consumed four pints of S.A. and was asked to leave when she started singing O’ Danny Boy while sitting on the bar working on her fifth pint. That girl can be so much fun! That girl can really sang.....Yes that is sang!

I need to get out of the room now. I have done my duty of walking Donna to work and picked out a new pub to meet her at when she gets off work. I will have to remind her, one pint. I am concerned she may start singing and any one who knows her knows she can not sing, but she can sang.

The G-20 summit is being held in London and the city is expecting a lot of marches, protest and possible riots. I have never been in a riot so I had best be on my way. Just to let you know, Obama was recieved like a rock star!!

I really need to go so I can pick up some rocks ( which are hard to find) and a few nice firm dog turds (which are not hard ro find, especially when crawling home from the pub) for throwing during the riots and mayham.

Wish me luck!
